Our Mission
Our
Story
We are a small collective of like minded professionals born out of our lived experience of birth trauma. We recognise how lonely it can feel, and what limited support there is out there. You Me Mind was created out of the founder's lived experience of limited access to help, professional care and support. Our key aims are to bring women together and provide support.
We have begun by running small intimate gatherings for women to have a space to share their experience and to meet others.

We have also had an overwhelming response from professionals who want to offer their expertise in support of mothers and birthing people who recognise that the current health system struggles to offer this type of support.

What We Offer
Our range of services designed to meet the unique needs of women and families affected by birth trauma. Grounded in empathy, support, and information, our programmes are designed to help you on your journey to healing.
Birth Hubs
Monthly support group
Once a month we come together in our Birth Hub. The Hub will include a sharing space or circle, informal peer support, relaxed space to be with each other, along with access to professionals such as midwives, psychotherapists, somatic healers and more.
It can be intimidating coming into a group which is why we have created the hubs in the hope you feel comfortable coming to a shared space. You can access the full sharing circle if you wish, or just have a cup of tea with someone. We want the hubs to be a place of refuge, support, comfort and connection.

Each month may vary on what support is available based on our guest experts. We will run talks on based on subjects requested by our participants, such as the path to recovery from birth trauma.
Counselling and Psychotherapy Services
Affordable Therapeutic Support with Experienced Practitioners
Our Counseling Services are staffed by compassionate professionals who are trained to provide support and guidance to women and families affected by birth trauma. A fundamental part of our aim; for women to access the help they need quickly and affordably.

If you have experienced birth trauma, its vital to find someone talk to about your experience when you are ready, someone who is experienced and trained in the area of birth trauma. Currently we have a limited amount of therapy sessions to offer and are working towards making this a wider offering.

Education and Awareness
Research and Innovation
Its is our larger aim to improve post birth mental health provision. We want to affect policy change so that provision is a right for all families. We know that birth trauma does not just affect that one individual who gives birth, its can effect the child, the wider family and friends. It can also have an impact on GPs, and health care providers and some of this strain can be eased when the right support is given early.
